DESCRIPTION:Meet the former residents of Liberty Hall Museum through paintings! Children will tour Liberty Hall Museum and discuss how each portrait reveals key information about its subject. The art exploration then continues with origami folding\, landscape sketching\, and the program will end with children making their own personalized self-portrait to take home. We will be offering 3 different for a safe but fun summer!  \nFirst Option: Summer Adventure In-A-Box \nBoxes can be picked up everyday Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This is at home box that will be purchased before hand but will include the activities that go along with that Summer Series. Includes link to themed virtual tour\, craft supplies and instructions\, & snack! Each box is $8.00 and for ages 5-12 \nSecond Option: Summer Adventure Parent and Child Program \nThis is a 90 minute program every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am- 12:30pm. This is for parents and kids to come to Liberty Hall and enjoy these programs together! A fun way to get out of the house and learn some interesting facts! Includes themed tour\, craft\, and snack! Adults are $8.00 and Children are $10.00 for ages 5 and up! \nThird Option: Summer Adventure Drop Off Program \nThis is a 3 hour program! This is a Drop-Off program where parents drop their children off at the museum at 1:00pm and pick them back up at 4:00pm. The children will go through the program with our Museum Educators. SUMMARY:Homeschool Day at Liberty Hall
DESCRIPTION:Liberty Hall invites all home schoolers and their families to step back in time and explore the life of the many children who called Liberty Hall home. We will be running two programs concurrently: A Child’s Colonial Life for 3 to 5 year olds and Changing Childhood for 6 to 11 year olds. Through play-based activities\, the littlest learners will explore a child’s life\, chores\, and school during colonial times. Through hands-on activities\, the older learners will explore how life has changed for five generations of children at Liberty Hall\, from the colonial era to the 1940s\, by comparing lighting\, music\, transportation\, communication\, technology\, and clothing.

They will learn how to use the pig-pen code and also discover the important role women played as spies during the American Revolution.  Afterwards\, everyone will create and take home a secret code book! Light refreshments will be served.  Recommended for ages 6 – 10.
