Learn about different types of plants that thrive in New Jersey and identify those that grow in Liberty Hall’s gardens. Discover how herbs have been used over the centuries. Visit our two green houses and participate in a hands-on seed planting activity that scouts can take home and plant. This program can include a snack and story time. Fulfills requirements for Lion Ready, Set, Grow Elective Adventure.

Program Availability: April-October only. Sundays: 2pm-4pm, Saturdays: 10am-4pm, Weekdays: 3pm-5pm
Program Length: 90 minutes
Program Fee: $10.00 per scout; leaders in uniform are free; $6.00 per additional adult
These programs must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance and require a minimum of 10 participants. When a troop has fewer than 10 members, leaders may join with another troop or invite non-scout peers to participate in programs. A 50% deposit of program cost is required at the time of booking. Balance is due the day of the program.
