Explore the idea of your civic role in your community through the history of Liberty Hall and the experiences of Mary Alice Barney Kean. Using images, storytelling, and discussion, Liberty Hall educators will guide students through an age-appropriate examination of Mary Alice’s travels to Native American communities, examining respect, perspective, and what it means to be a thoughtful visitor. Students will then apply their learning by designing their own guidebook to a community they belong to. The program also introduces students to Native communities past and present, including the Leni Lenape.
