Virtual Architecture of Liberty Hall

Liberty Hall was a residence for prominent New Jersey families for over 200 years. During that time, the house grew from 14 rooms to 50. The house reflects the changes in architectural styles over three different centuries. Scouts will learn about the variety of building materials used on structures throughout the property and learn how form follows function in the design and construction of those buildings. We’ll examine floor plans and elevations and observe how they were translated into actual buildings. Finally, scouts will create a scale drawing of a room. This program fulfills several requirements of the Architecture badge.
