Built in the early 1770’s, Liberty Hall has been a witness to countless historic events and its residents have shaped New Jersey history. Scouts will tour the Mansion at Liberty Hall and learn what qualifies a building for National Historic Register status. Museum educators will lead a discussion of careers in historic preservation and the education and experience needed to work in this exciting field. Finally, scouts will examine a selection of historic documents and practice writing with quill pens. This program fulfills several requirements for the American Heritage badge.
