250th Family Fun Day: 250 Years of Medicine & Healthcare at Liberty Hall

January 25 1:00 pm 2:30 pm EST

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with our Liberty Learners 250th Family Fun Day series! How did colonists make their own medicines? Join Liberty Hall Museum’s Liberty Learners Adventure to discover how the residents of Liberty Hall cared for their health over the past 250 years. Through a mixture of natural remedies, herbs, and later commercialized medicines, the Livingstons and the Keans managed to treat and alleviate their symptoms. Explore how medicine has evolved, how certain healing practices are a shared human experience across generations, and make your own colonial remedies! Join us for this family-friendly tour of Liberty Hall to compare Livingston’s natural and plant-based remedies to those who resided at Liberty Hall in later eras.

Reservations are suggested and recommended for grades 1st through 5th.
